os-writings
- From South-Africa:
In South-Africa Prof. Dr. Josef Stegmann - our scientific advisor
abroad - uses regularly the english translation of Josef
Cardinal Hoeffner's: Christian Social Teaching, for
studies with his students.
- From Hungary:
In March 2007, Gájer Lásló, priest candidate in Budapest (today
ordained priest), wrote
us about the 10th anniversery of a circular of the Hungarian
bishop conference with the theme: "For a more just and brotherly
world" (1996). On this conference (18. - 20.05.2006) the president of
the Republic of Hungary, Mádl Ferenc, gave a speech with the title:
"The circular and the Hungarian society." He talked about the
Christian Social Teaching, especially the principle of
subsidiarity. The president underlined the importance of the
above mentioned book by Cardinal Hoeffner, which Gájer Lásló had
pointed out to him - ordered by the bishop - to prepare
his speech at the conference. There he accentuated the
importance of this book for the today's Hungarian society.
- Höffners Christian Social Teaching in Minsk
Since 2001 Director Grigorij and Dr. theol. Vladimir Khulap are
working in Minsk as professors at the European Humanistic
University (EHU), at the "Center of Sts. Method and
Cyrill", as well as at the Theologic Faculty charged with the
education of the orthodox clericals. In searching for
appropriate teaching material for the students in the areas
Economics and Society they came across with the Russian
translation of Höffners "Christian Social Teaching" which Ordo
Socialis has printed in Moscow and is offered for sale in the
clerical book-trade. Thus the Treves and Münster Professor Josef
Höffner ist posthumous also master teacher of more than 300
students and future priets of the Greek church in White-Russia.
